Type:

PSADT (Prostate-Specific Antigen Doubling Time) — Measure of PSA kinetics representing the estimated time required for serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) concentration to double. PSADT is typically calculated from serial PSA measurements using the slope of log-transformed PSA versus time.

Typical interpretation in prostate cancer: ↓ PSADT (shorter doubling time) generally indicates faster PSA rise, more aggressive tumor behavior, and greater risk of disease progression or recurrence. ↑ PSADT (longer doubling time) generally indicates slower PSA progression and a more indolent disease course.

Typical use: Prognostic and monitoring biomarker in prostate cancer, particularly after definitive treatment or during biochemical recurrence. PSADT should be interpreted together with absolute PSA, treatment history, Gleason grade, stage, imaging, and other clinical variables.
