Cancer: ↑ Frequently increased in multiple cancers and tumor-associated stroma. Elevated HSP47 can promote collagen maturation and extracellular-matrix deposition and has been associated with tumor growth, angiogenesis, migration, invasion, metastasis, and poor prognosis. HSP47 inhibition can reduce collagen-dependent tumor-supportive processes in experimental models.
