Type:
ACTA2 (Actin Alpha Cardiac Muscle 2) is a gene that encodes a protein involved in the structure and function of smooth muscle cells. It plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, iACTA2 has been studied for its role in the tumor microenvironment, particularly in relation to cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and the extracellular matrix. CAFs, which often express ACTA2, can influence tumor progression, metastasis, and response to therapy. ncluding muscle contraction and the maintenance of vascular tone.
High levels of ACTA2 are often correlated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor patient outcomes.

3228- EGCG,    Targeting fibrotic signaling pathways by EGCG as a therapeutic strategy for uterine fibroids
*cycD1/CCND1↓, Cyclin D1, a protein involved in cell cycle progression, was increased in fibroid cells and was significantly reduced by EGCG
*COL1A1↓, EGCG treatment significantly reduced mRNA or protein levels of key fibrotic proteins, including fibronectin (FN1), collagen (COL1A1), plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1), connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), and actin alpha 2, smooth muscle
*ACTA2↓,
*α-SMA↓, EGCG treatment severely reduced (71%) α-SMA protein expression in P57 fibroid cells but not in P57 myometrial cells, compared to control (100%)

105- RES,  QC,    The Effect of Resveratrol and Quercetin on Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition in Pancreatic Cancer Stem Cell
- in-vitro, Pca, PANC1
N-cadherin↓, Quercetin could prevent Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition by reducing expression of N-cadherin
TNF-α↓,
ACTA2↓,
EMT↓, The reduction in N-cadherin and ACTA-2 immunoreactivities was higher than the increase in vimentin immunoreactivity, quercetin could prevent EMT to a greater extent than resveratrol in pancreatic cancer stem cells because of the reduced expression of
CD133↓, resveratrol at 5 mM concentration was more effective in reducing both CD133þ and CD133 cell growth when compared with other concentrations for 24-h incubation period
CSCs↓, Therefore, both quercetin and resveratrol could inhibit EMT of pancreatic cancer stem cell by decreas- ing N-cadherin expression.
