DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) is a stable free radical commonly used in scientific research to evaluate the antioxidant capacity of various compounds. The DPPH assay is a popular method for assessing the ability of antioxidants to scavenge free radicals, which can contribute to oxidative stress and are implicated in various diseases, including cancer.
