Features:

Aidi Injection - Chinese herbal anticancer injection

Type: Multi-component traditional Chinese medicine injectable formulation

Components: Mylabris phalerata / Cantharis (including cantharidin-related constituents), Astragalus membranaceus, Panax ginseng, and Acanthopanax senticosus (Eleutherococcus senticosus).

Function: Multi-component anticancer formulation used primarily as an adjunct to chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Reported actions include inhibition of tumor-cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis, modulation of immune responses, inhibition of invasion and metastasis, and reduction of chemotherapy-associated hematologic, gastrointestinal, hepatic, and renal toxicity.

Cancer: ↓ Tumor growth/progression. Clinical studies and meta-analyses, primarily from China, report improved objective response rate, disease control rate, and quality of life when Aidi injection is combined with conventional chemotherapy in several cancers. Evidence quality ranges from moderate to very low, and substantial geographic, publication, and methodological bias remain concerns.
