SVCT-2, Sodium-dependent Vitamin C Transporter 2: Click to Expand ⟱
Source:
Type:
SVCT-2 is a protein that plays a role in the transport of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) into cells.
SVCT-2 is expressed in: 70% breast, 60% lung, 80% CRC, 50% Prostate, 70% ovarian, 60% Pancreatic, 50% liver, 60% stomach, 50% esophageal, 60% Head and Neck, 50% Melanoma, 70% GBM, 60% Medulloblastoma.
SVCT-2 was involved in the transport of vitamin C into lung cancer cells and that its inhibition reduced cancer cell growth and survival.
