Features:

Flaxseed, Flaxseed refers to flax that is consumed by humans, while linseed is used when it is used for commercial purposes.
-Buy whole raw flaxseed → grind it finely shortly before use. Whole seeds have their natural protective coat and therefore have better storage stability. Grinding disrupts that protection and improves bioavailability but simultaneously exposes ALA to oxygen.
-even 10 g/day milled flaxseed significantly increased circulating total enterolignans and ALA in one randomized study
-sprouts: At day 8, SDG was 6.3-fold higher and SECO 4.5-fold higher than in ungerminated seed. By day 10, total phenolics were ~5.6-fold higher and total flavonoids ~55-fold higher, with the highest measured antioxidant and antiproliferative activities. -One study of 15 flax sprout varieties found SDG ranging from only 13.3 µg/g to 8,987 µg/g dry weight—a ~676-fold range.
