DBIL (Direct Bilirubin; Conjugated Bilirubin) — Bilirubin fraction that has undergone hepatic conjugation, primarily with glucuronic acid, making it water-soluble and suitable for biliary excretion.

Typical modulation in disease: ↑ DBIL is particularly associated with impaired biliary excretion, cholestasis, biliary obstruction, or hepatocellular dysfunction affecting excretion of conjugated bilirubin.
