IBIL (Indirect Bilirubin; Unconjugated Bilirubin) — Predominantly unconjugated bilirubin circulating bound to albumin prior to hepatic conjugation. IBIL is commonly calculated as total bilirubin minus direct bilirubin.

Typical modulation in disease: ↑ IBIL is commonly associated with increased bilirubin production from hemolysis, impaired hepatic uptake, or reduced bilirubin conjugation.
