| PROKR2 (Prokineticin Receptor 2; PKR2) — Seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor for prokineticins, particularly PROK2. PROKR2 regulates intracellular signaling involved in neuronal development, circadian biology, migration, angiogenesis, calcium signaling, and other cellular responses. Typical modulation in cancer: Context-dependent. Activation of the PROK2–PROKR2 axis can promote angiogenic, migratory, inflammatory, and tumor-supporting signaling in selected cancers, although effects depend strongly on tissue and cellular context. Typical modulation in Alzheimer’s disease: No established universal direction. PROKR2 has substantial neurological and circadian relevance but is not currently a core AD target. |
