Treg cells, are a specific subtype of T cells that play a regulatory role in the immune system. They are also known as regulatory T cells or suppressor T cells. Treg cells are characterized by the expression of specific surface markers, such as CD4, CD25, and FOXP3, and are responsible for:
-Suppressing excessive immune responses and preventing autoimmune diseases.
-Maintaining immune tolerance to self-antigens.
-Regulating the activity of other immune cells, such as effector T cells.
Treg cells are often found in the tumor microenvironment of various types of cancer.
High Tumor Levels: Breast, lung, CRC, Melanoma, ovarian, prostate, pancreatic.
