CD62L is a cell adhesion molecule expressed mainly on leukocytes (e.g., naïve and central memory T cells, B cells, and some neutrophils).
• It mediates lymphocyte homing to lymph nodes and can be involved in leukocyte recruitment to inflammatory sites.
• CD62L can be shed from the cell surface, leading to a soluble form detectable in plasma. In some cancer settings, elevated soluble CD62L has been associated with tumor progression.

Lower expression usually associated with poorer outcomes.
